New  Family
Wellness Programs

PHC welcomes adults who are interested in leading healthier lives to participate in its Family Wellness Program, a partnership between PHC, Authority Health, and Brilliant Detroit. Parents, caregivers, and community members are invited to join us for virtual health programming and nutrition and exercise support.

Family Wellness PROGRAM

The Family Wellness Program seeks to improve the health of Detroiters holistically through improved health literacy, health behaviors, nutrition, and exercise. The program aims to decrease the risk of developing chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure (hypertension), osteoporosis (thinning bones), heart disease, and depression in its participants.

Health and Wellness Coaches
Coaches are trained to conduct a wellness self-assessment and develop mutually agreed-to nutrition and exercise plans designed to improve health. By creating healthy goals and receiving nutrition and exercise information, participants work to improve their lives, as well as the lives of their family members.
